Who we are
Typewright Studio (typewrightstudio.com) is a web studio run by Michael McClanahan, a sole proprietor doing business as Typewright Studio. This page covers the Typewright website, the Typewright contact form, the free website audit, and email sent to hello@typewrightstudio.com.
What we collect
When you use the Typewright contact form or email Typewright support at hello@typewrightstudio.com, we collect what you send us:
- Your name
- Business name, if you provide it
- Phone number, if you provide it
- Email address
- Your message, and anything else you include
This site does not use marketing cookies or advertising trackers. We count visits with two privacy-friendly tools: GoatCounter and Vercel Web Analytics. Neither sets cookies or tracks you across other sites. They record the page visited, the referring site, and general browser, device and country information. They never see the website address you enter in the audit. Our host may still record ordinary technical data needed to run the site, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested.
How we use it
We use this information to reply to your Typewright inquiry and to talk about a possible project.
The Typewright website contact form emails the full inquiry to hello@typewrightstudio.com. It may also notify the business owner by SMS with a short summary of that inquiry — for example your name, email, and the start of your message. Those texts are owner-alerts only. They are not marketing texts to site visitors.
Who we share it with
We use third-party services to receive Typewright inquiries:
- Resend emails the full Typewright contact form to hello@typewrightstudio.com
- Twilio delivers the owner-alert SMS from the Typewright contact form
- Our email provider delivers messages sent to hello@typewrightstudio.com
- GoatCounter records Typewright pageview counts only
- Vercel Web Analytics records anonymous pageview counts
- Google PageSpeed Insights receives the website address you ask the audit to check
- Vercel hosts this site and runs the audit
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising.
The free website audit
When you run the free website audit at typewrightstudio.com/audit/, or through the Typewright audit plugin, we process:
- The website address you enter
- Public pages of that website, which our checker fetches: the page itself, robots.txt, a sitemap, a contact page and a few internal links
- Your IP address, used only for rate limiting
To measure speed, we send the website address to Google PageSpeed Insights, which loads the page and returns its results. Google's own privacy policy covers that service. To show the domain's renewal date, we look up the domain name in the public registration data service (RDAP).
We do not store the address you enter or the audit results. The report is sent back to your browser and is not saved. For rate limiting (5 audits an hour, 20 a day), we keep a salted hash of your IP address in the checker's memory for no more than 24 hours, never alongside the website address. We don't count or log plugin use separately. Our host, Vercel, keeps ordinary request logs for a short time, as it does for any page on this site.
The website address is sent to our checker in the body of the request, so it doesn't appear in our host's request logs. The audit checker writes no logs of its own.
We do not sell audit data or share it for advertising, and we do not use it, or anything you send through the plugin, to train AI or machine-learning models.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry records as long as we need them to reply and, if we work together, to do the work. You can ask us to delete what we hold.
Your requests
To access, correct, or delete information we have about you, or to ask a question about this policy, email hello@typewrightstudio.com.
