A short answer
A trades site has to work on a phone, take a quote request, and make the number easy to tap. Foundation starts at $2,500 for trades and single-location shops.
Heating and air, plumbing, and electrical are the same kind of problem: someone has a job that cannot wait, they search on a phone, and they decide in about thirty seconds whether to call you or the next listing. The site is there to get that call — or a quote request — without making them pinch, hunt, or wait on a parking-lot signal.
What the first screen has to do
Design the phone screen first. If it works there, the desktop version is easy. On a phone, the useful site usually does four things without scrolling past a speech:
- Says what you do and where you work
- Shows a tap-to-call number
- Offers a quote or contact form that goes to an inbox someone checks
- Puts hours and emergency notes where a thumb can find them
Stock photos of handshakes do not do any of that. Neither does a template that hides the number behind a menu drawn for a wide monitor. A longer note on phone-signal sites is on the writing page.
Quote forms, not just a mailto link
A quote form is useful when the person cannot call right now — they are at work, or it is after hours, or they want to send a photo of the unit. The form should ask for what you actually need to call them back: name, phone, a short description of the job, and maybe a town or service type. It should not be a twelve-field application.
Foundation includes contact and quote forms, plus Google Business setup. You supply the copy; the pages get structured around the services you already sell.
What Foundation covers
$2,500. Up to 5 pages. About three weeks. Built for trades and single-location shops. One builder. Published price. No retainer.
Five pages is usually enough for a shop: home, services, service area or about, a gallery or recent work if you have real photos, and contact. If you have more trades under one roof, more locations, or you need booking, that is the Standard tier at $4,200 — up to 10 pages, writing included, four to five weeks. Catalogs, payments, or software hookups are Full build at $6,500+ and six weeks up. The numbers live on what a custom site costs.
What this page is not claiming
It is not a list of invented clients or cities. It is not a promise that a new site will fill the board by itself. A clear phone-first site with a working quote form removes friction. The work still has to be good, and the phone still has to get answered.
If you already have a site that ranks for the searches you care about, replacing it is a different job than starting from nothing — same three tiers, with old URLs mapped forward. That is the rebuild answer.
